Permanent Hair Straightening

Permanent hair straightening is a long-term solution to straighten and tame your frizzy and curly hair. There are numerous options available in the market and you should be aware of the advantages and disadvantages associated with every option. Generally, most of the permanent hair straightening technique involves treating the hair using certain chemicals and applying strong heat to lock the chemicals. There are three different types of permanent hair straightening from which you can choose, namely rebounding, keratin and smoothing. The process for all the three is same; the basic difference lies in the chemicals used.

The Process

Hair is at first washed with a shampoo avoiding the conditioner. Then, the hair is blow dried and straightened in order to make the chemical spread easily on the hair. After this, the straightening cream is applied on the hair with the help of a brush and comb in order to treat them thoroughly. The hair is left untouched for 20 to 30 minutes without covering or heating it. The hair will be rinsed after 30 minutes with water to remove the chemical. Again, the hair will be blow dried and hot iron will be used to straighten the hair. Then, the neutralizer will be applied to the hair with brush and comb. Ensure that your hair is combed several times using a wide-toothed comb. Again, the hair will be rinsed with water so that the developer gets washed off. The entire procedure of hair straightening might take several hours.

Advice

Please note that you are not allowed to tie/pin/tuck your hair using clips or bands for at least three days. Also, you cannot let your hair wet as the chemicals still work on them for the next three days. Your salon will provide you the first hair wash after which you can wash your hair using the products recommended by your hair stylist. Also, do not use oil for at least 15 days after the treatment.

It is always preferable to get the permanent hair straightening done from a reliable salon. It is advisable to not try this at home by yourself as it needs a lot of care. If you are looking for a reliable salon providing permanent hair straightening in Brisbane or any other city, then the online search is the best option.
